Setup: keyboards and guitars, the band complains about the lengthy setup process

By 7:00 p.m., the keyboard and guitar sound had been worked out, so the band gathered in the control room to discuss our opinions of the drum and bass setups. None of the band members were happy with the drum sounds or with the lengthy setup process, so the discussion quickly grew heated as we voiced our complaints. Puig responded to complaints that he ignored us whenever he was busy twiddling knobs and such.

Puig: "If you have a comment to make while I look busy, just say, 'Input!'

The band was losing patience while the production team prepared to record. We were intimidated by the racks of gear (particularly the samplers and a sub-harmonic generator) and were becoming paranoid about the production team using them without our knowledge. Wallace promised not to use any sneaky production 'tricks' on us, such as substituting sampled drums for the recorded ones.
